QSocialNow: 53.9% of Venezuelans Agree with the Supreme Court’s Results

Survey indicates that 34.5 per cent are fully satisfied with the Court’s decision and 19.4 per cent are satisfied.

The survey conducted by QSocialNow a study of public opinion and audience dynamics which resulted in at least 53.9 percent of Venezuelans, confirm the victory of President Nicolás Maduro, is in accordance with the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) ruling.

Also reported that respondents 34.5 percent are fully satisfied with the Court’s decision, while 19.4 percent agree, although they consider it necessary to submit minutes, while 7.4 percent are not satisfied;  and 20.2 percent categorically disagree and 18.6 percent do not.

The study adds that among those who disagree, 36.7 percent believe that the TSJ should present evidence to support the ruling; 18.3 percent believe that the opposition should appeal the decision; 17.7 percent prefer that Venezuela be intervened diplomatically by international organizations; 14.6 percent expect the opposition to mobilize in the streets and 6.1 percent that elections should be repeated», reported the web portal of the state channel, Venezuelan Television (VTV).

In terms of what the public thinks about the president’s attendance at the TSJ, 51.6 percent thought it was good and 50 percent said that9 percent of the respondents disagree that the opposition promoted by María Corina Machado and led by Edmundo González has decided prematurely not to submit to the opinions and rulings of the National Electoral Council (CNE), in the meantime 29% are satisfied and 20.1% unaware.

Similarly, 51.3 percent of the population considers that the opposition should accept the victory of Nicolás Maduro after the ruling by the TSJ, in opposition to 30.2 percent who prefer not to take into account the results and 18,5 percent that has no idea.

It was also reported that 53.2 percent believe that the nations that did not show their support to President Maduro should already “do so and stop putting pressure on Venezuela” and only 29.3 percent believe that the pressure should be maintained.

On the nation’s post-election context, 53 per cent consider that the situation has returned to normal and social peace is now being strengthened, versus 28.3 percent who rate a worsening of the situation and consider the risk of a civil confrontation and 18.4 percent who do not know.

Regarding economic recovery, 52.4 percent think it continues to recover after the elections, 32.4 percent believe that its recovery has stopped and 15.2 percent do not know.
